About
The demands of a busy life can often feel overwhelming. As a clinical psychologist, I recognize the difficulty in coping with significant challenges. I am currently accepting new clients, and together, we can develop a plan to make your daily experiences feel manageable again. By learning to shift your perspectives and diminish the influence of fear, these positive changes can eventually become your natural way of thinking. This process creates the necessary space for you to focus on building a life filled with meaning and joy.
I am authorized to provide services in over 45 states via PSYPACT, with full licensure in Illinois, Iowa, New York, and Massachusetts. My practice is informed by specialized training in health psychology, reproductive mental health, forensic psychology, trauma, ADHD, and perinatal mental health. This expertise allows me to support you in navigating the complexities of medical systems and the unique stress of difficult treatments. I also possess a deep understanding of the high-pressure environments faced by healthcare professionals and those in high-stress careers. Additionally, I offer expert consultation and ongoing support for parents exploring third-party reproduction, including the use of donor embryos, sperm, or eggs.
In my capacity as a forensic psychologist, I provide comprehensive psychological evaluations and expert consultation for legal professionals. My forensic work primarily focuses on civil litigation involving allegations of harassment, discrimination, and retaliation, as well as cases concerning medical trauma, reproductive errors, assault, and sexual abuse.
I earned my PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Miami, followed by a predoctoral internship at the Yale School of Medicine and a postdoctoral fellowship at Cambridge Health Alliance/Harvard Medical School. My professional background includes faculty positions at the UMASS Chan School of Medicine and Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine, where I engaged in clinical practice, research, and the supervision of trainees. Currently, I serve as a Clinical Assistant Professor in Psychiatry at Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine, where I continue to provide mentorship and consultation to doctoral students in clinical psychology.
